There is no getting away from the fact that pink is a largely feminine color, even in today’s society of equality and ‘metro-sexual men’.

Pink is closely associated with red as a color, standing for love and beauty and intimacy.  More vibrant shades of pink represent passion and sensuality.  It can also stand for happiness and peace.

A Pink Trash Can would not be out of place in a woman’s bedroom, although probably a young fun-loving single girl as opposed to a more mature married lady.  It could be used to liven the room up and complement the general room decor which may include similarly colored bedding, rugs, lampshades etc.

Even more suitable for a pink trash can is obviously a little girl’s bedroom.  Virtually all sub-teenage girls adore the color, and every item imaginable in their room will be some shade of it!  A pink trash can decorated with images of pop stars or princesses with be particularly popular.  Children’s trash cans come in a much wider range than those for adults, as media and entertainment companies will try to cash in on the latest hot trends and chart-topping singers.

Unfortunately these celebrity endorsements or copyrighted brands mean that you will probably have to pay a premium if you buy a pink trash can for your daughter or niece or whoever.  However, as these trash cans will be the basic wastepaper types without any complicated lid mechanisms or sensor technology, the prices are not prohibitive.  This is probably a good thing, because today’s must-have will inevitably be tomorrow’s forgotten star in a child’s fickle world!  But then again, what price a child’s joy?  You can avoid these fast changes in fashion by perhaps just sticking to a simple pink trash can design decorated with attractive flowers or other motifs, which will remain appealing for a much longer time span.
